Our Techniques

Arthrostim

People often ask, “What technique do you use Doc? What do you call this?” People seem to love to have labels to attach to just about everything! We think it makes it easier to communicate. I think it sometimes gets in the way.

Chiropractic has a lot of talented, innovative people who have contributed greatly to the science and art of chiropractic. Often, these individuals package what they do into a patient care approach and attach a label to it, such as Activator®, CBP, Pettibon, NUCCA, SOT, etc.  In the right hands, with the right patient, at the right time, all of these have collectively helped improve the quality of health of millions of people.

Vibracusser

Over the past 25+ years I’ve explored a majority of these approaches and taken what makes sense to me and what I can make work and then added them to my tool chest of discovery and repair tools for the benefit of my patients. So, I would say that I’m not a clone of any other person or their technique.

Integrator

With each patient visit, I do a pre-evaluation of their status using various discovery tools. I look at their posture, their movement, ask them questions, feel and test various spinal related muscles and joints, etc. Once I determine their need for that visit we decide the most appropriate method, tool or approach for solving the problem. My choice of adjusting instruments include an Arthrostim, Vibracusser or Integrator and our choice of hands are right, left or both! Regardless of the method or technique chosen, every decision or action we take is with our patient’s best interest at heart.

Remember, you’re the boss of your health and we are here to serve you! If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and have a preference about how you are adjusted, let us know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your care.

Dr. Marc Asks some important questions of interest to Sumner residents - Chiropractor Sumner Dr. Marc Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
